In 2012 the beer festival had a titanic theme to it. Guests of honour were the grandchildren of Harry Senior from Doncaster who survived the sinking.
In 2016 some members went to a Beer in the Wood festival at The Junction pub in Castleford. They were joined by local Yorkshire author, Ian Clayton.

The 2019 festival celebrated man landing on the moon in 1969. At the launch event the landlord of the Little Plough, here with our chairman, got into the mood of the event with a somewhat basic astronaut outfit.
